The Elections?

At the time of writing this, there is an election going on. The three main parties in the UK who have a realistic prospect of winning are the Conservatives, Labour and the Liberal Democrates.

For the first time in UK history, there are televised, public debates including the leaders of the three main parties. It is, in my opinion, a very interesting spectacle. How they rub up against each other is at times amusing and at other times a little bit 'sickening'. The debate, although useful, has at times been a bit predictable.

All of the leaders involved seem to be clear and well spoken, which is what you want I guess, but what does not seem to be clear is how they really stand up on a 'real' level as opposed to simply an elequent level.

Only time will tell who is going to win, whether there will be a hung parliament, whether the peoples choice proves to be a good one, whether the political parties go on to keep their promises, etc.

I hope, for everyones sake that we make a good choice based on reality and policies as opposed to being won over by a good 'show' on the nights of the televised debates!
